Wade Wright and the Wrongboys

 

Wade Wright and the Wrong Boys were founded in 2012 by James W. Jones and Phillip Taylor. James and Phillip were childhood friends and both became prolific songwriters. James “Jimmy” W. Jones tailored his style of guitar playing with the country band “Southern Rain” and then with the 80’s rock cover band “Grandma Dynomite”. Phillip started writing songs at the age of 19, before joining the 90’s cover band “Epic”. James and Phillip eventually reunited realizing that they both have a unique talent for songwriting. They decided to form the band “Wade Wright and the Wrong Boys.” They called on the expertise of a veteran two-time West Virginia State Drumming Champion Leonard Cantley a.k.a. “Bubba Stix”. Bubba worked underground in the West Virginia coal mines before joining the band…..
